About the Workshop
The word meditation has become synonymous with immediate inner peace, however, the true benefits of meditation come from consistent practice. In this workshop, you will:
- Learn how meditation fits into the path of yoga
- Practice 3 types of meditation – Transcendental, Guided, and Trataka (candle gazing) meditations
- Develop the basis of a consistent practice to reap all the benefits of meditation
Take this opportunity to learn the basics of meditation in a group setting where collective energy will help guide you into joy and stillness of the practice.

Ben G. Yoga Student
I never realized how integral meditation was to yoga… or what I thought was yoga. The 8-limb based meditation was my favorite part.

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire workshop; storytelling, humor, compassion & inspiration.

The mantra and candle gazing were so cool! Great intro!
Stu is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher bringing his years of scripture and self-study (Svadhyaya) to the mat. He leads classes and workshops that use the physical practice of yoga as a foundation to open the discussions we don’t seem to be having with each other. Both classes and workshops dip into the bigger picture of yoga to help students and fellow teachers navigate their way through day to day life.
In a past life (early 2000’s), Stu developed a “successful” IT career working in everything from small companies to large corporations. In 2012, he traded that in for a path of study, following his passions, taking leaps of faith, and finding something more meaningful… to him. Stu has found the best way to give back the lessons he’s learned is through the eyes - or mat - of yoga.
